Our room was very comfortable. The food was good although we had to wait longer than I liked.

Staff seem to be expected to be in many places at once! Perhaps more staff are required. One suggestion - when there is a disagreement between members of staff it should not be voiced in the hearing of guests, nor should staff be reprimanded in front of guests (bar staff and waiting staff). A little more management training is required I think.

The room was great, fantastic, with a great view of the lake, I could not ask for more. But, the bathroom was too small and looked old, in need of renovation, not on the same level as the room that was spacious and beautiful. But, all in all, it was a nice stay. The staff was very friendly and managed to get a hot meal for us in the late evening, when the restaurant had already just closed. Internet is available only in the lobby but it's fast and reliable.

The bathroom. Small and looked old. But the room itself, the staff and the location pays off.

Proximity to the amazing Glencoe fantastic, and also close to Oban and other touristy areas. Could be a romantic destination if gauranteed good weather in order to enjoy the surrounding scenery. But perfect for the more hardy outdoor type who do not mind a complete drenching. The music playing in the background of the hotel could do with being more cheerie especially when the weather is doing its best to put a real dampner on your time away. Apart from this the staff were very nice and helpful and we enjoyed out short stay there.

The decor was a bit dull and morbid, could do with brightening the place up. The bathroom in our room was in desperate need of a revamp and the toilet seat was broken which made for performing a balancing act or doing without!!!!! Breakfast was over cooked and toast was cold and by the time it arrived our tea and coffee were stewed and cold. This could be due to the fact that only one young waitress was there to serve the whole dining room on her own.

    Breakfast was fine

Traffic noise from busy road rooms pretty basic

Food average at best. Rooms not what are illustrated on website. Cleanliness left a lot ot be desired. Staff were ok apart from young gentleman who served breakfast who was excellent. Expensive for what it was.

Felt staff could have been better and rooms were a real let down. For £95 I exepcted better. Bathrooms were an absolute disgrace and need refurbished and attended to.

The family Room was nicely decorated. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We wanted to use the restaurant one night but it was full as was the bar area. We thought we would have to go elsewhere to eat as our little boy was tired after a long day. The waitress was a star as she rearranged the reserved tables and made room for us.

The bathroom was a real let down as it had not been refurbished along with the room. It was shabby but clean. There was no shower in the ensuite and the shared shower along the corridor was not at all powerful, more like drip!

Had an excellent time at the Glencoe Hotel the whole time was excellent the staff were all very friendly and waking up to the loch in the morning was amazing then going down for a very tasty breakfast with another gorgeous view of the loch! It couln't have been any better!

    It's location is excellent

I made an error when booking this hotel. I meant to book into the other hotel along the road with a similar name plus it had a swimming pool and cost not much more in price. Drab colour scheme used thoughout. Bathroom in need of major overhaul. Sink cracked. Dining room poor but the evening meal was good and the waitress attentive. Breakfast juice was off.

The Glencoe Hotel could do with a major makeover. It's a bit dated. The (young, male and fit looking) receptionist did not offer to assist with the luggage, which demanded some awkward negotiating of fire doors and turns in the stairs. The bar and breakfast was ok. The fillet steak was very chewy - beef must have walked all the way from Aberdeen! The window in the room was jammed shut (not a problem when I stayed; it rained!) and the bathroom was rather basic. It was ok as a base, but I would have been a bit miserable if I had needed the hotel other than as a base for the local scenery.

The welcome was very warm but it stopped there really. Staff were very happy and nice

Service was slow .we ate in the restraunt and would not reccomend it at all the food was very poor standard, ribs were like boil in the bag ribs from lidl and everything was padded out by mounds of chips. The mussells were good though, obviously fresh and local but the main portion we ordered was only as big as a starter portion should be. Breakfast was worse the eggs benedict were simply swimming in bright yellow inedible sauce pretending to be hollandaise and were served on a cold soggy t cake instead of a toasted muffin and the full cooked breakfast was overcooked I suspect it had been cooked the night befopre and warmed up. . The room was very small and "tired" looking the bathroom was dirty and in poor condition the sink was hanging off the pedestal and there were dirty dribble marks all over the wall we did complain about all of this .to the girl on the desk next day but were offered no explanation or compensation the only saving grace was that we had booked last minute and so only paid 60 pounds for the room...would have been livid if we had paid the full price for it all....

The rooms are clean but in need of refurbishment, I paid almost he same per night for a 4 star hotel in Bacelona the week before and the difference was enormous. Saying that the staff were terrific, very friendly and warm. The bar area is great and food delicious.

Paint peeling off th walls in the bathroom, no phone in the room, no tissues in the room, tv didn't work. A few improvements would produce a marked improvement

There is a very good restaurant in the hotel that attract all the tourists around,as well it is located in front of a main attraction- The Glanco.

its about 30 minutes drive from the Fort William

Lovely friendly staff, if a bit inefficient. Evening meals were excellent.

Breakfast was dismal, nice menu but failed to live up to it's promise.. The Glencoe is actually right on the main road and not as the photo would imply. Bathroom was a bit tired and needs a bit of tlc.
